This year for Easter we took the kids to Washington State to meet the new family! Most of T.W.'s family is from there, and they like to celebrate Easter with a big dinner and family get together. It was a LONG drive, and the kids fared well. The first day we arrived in Lakewood we went up to Seattle to the waterfront and looked around. We went to Pike's Market,, the kids had a lot of fun watching the guys throw the fish,,, the monk fish scared them, lol. They chased pigeons around the park, and loved watching the people on the street who played instruments for donations. The second day we went to the Pacific Science Center. That is a cool place, so much to see! Our favorite part was the butterfly exhibit,, they were flying everywhere! Saturday we spent the day at the beach. This was Nicail and William's favorite day. We found out about gooey ducks, which are these crazy clams that stick this beak type thing out of the sand to eat and breath while their body is 3ft in the sand. When you walk close to them or over them they spray water straight into the air, its so funny! We dug up some of those and looked under every rock and log we could find. By the end of the day we had a bucket full of sea creatures and let them go before we left. Nicail found a baby octopus on the shore that was so awesome! We let him go too.
